Holiday Soap made with Cookie Cutters

November 15, 2009

I wasn’t sure whether to mark this as Homemade Christmas Gift Ideas or Christmas Decorating ideas. I think hand made christmas gifts are exceptionally nice. This would be a great afternoon to share with friends and carve up your soap. I love the idea, click below for the entire article.

Holiday Soap Hand Made Christmas Gifts

Give your bathroom a festive look this year by making ornament soap or make it as a gift. Get a bar of snow white soap. Generic soap from the dollar store works just fine. Use a cheese slicer and slice the soap into ¼ inch pieces. On a cutting board wet a cookie cutter in the shape of a star or Christmas tree and press it into the soap piece. Remove the soap cut out from the cookie cutter very gently. Take an awl and make a hole for the soap cut out at the top of the soap. Take ribbon and make a loop for the soap to hang from.
